BMLLEN AGM

The BMLLEN held its 2015 Annual General Meeting at WestWaters Hotel on Monday 4 May with approximately 21 people in attendance.  Rose Lewanski, Chair of the BMLLEN, spoke to the Chair’s Report in the Annual Report and  a report by the Treasurer, Trish Heffernan was also given.

Graeme Brown, EO of the BMLLEN, gave the Executive Officer’s Report focusing on the work of the BMLLEN throughout 2014 which had a proved a challenging year due contractual changes.

Guest speaker on the night was Meri Ivanoski, Manager Community Transition Support (CTS).  The CTS project was funded by the former State Department of Human Services in 2013, with the contract awarded to a consortia of seven LLEN’s in the North West of Melbourne.  The objective of CTS is to improve education, employment and community participation outcomes for young people with a disability.  Meri outlined the progress of the project and the role of the BMLLEN in implementation of the contract scope.
