SWL Forum 26 May 2016, Citadines Melbourne

Last week’s (Thursday 26/05/2016) state-wide SWL Forum brought new and experienced SWL staff from across Victoria to share experiences, skills and issues.  It was a valuable opportunity to network and hear how others were working on the program.  Several speakers focused on engagement with key stakeholders: Schools, Business, State Government and other LLENs.  Five key messages taken from the sessions were:

      1. No LLEN is alike
      2. Be enthusiastic, sincere and honest
      3. Don’t try to duplicate existing school-business relationships
      4. Stay positive with the portal and remember it is another tool that can be used to help identify quality opportunities

Leave schools to complete the SWL school tasks they are required to perform
