Student Spotlight

Mariam, a student completing her placement with Future Connect, embarked on a journey of self-discovery through her School Work Experience (SWL) project last year. Recognising the challenges faced by her peers, Mariam was inspired to create an initiative that would promote confidence and self-esteem among young girls in Years 11 and 12. Her SWL project, “Makeup Day (Me Day),” aimed to challenge societal beauty norms and empower girls to embrace their natural beauty.
